Dear All, Whilst it is unfortunate to lose a family member at any time, it is doubly so over the Christmas period and we can feel for Iffers family and friends at this time. Iffers was a MOBI just 2 years behind me and I can recall him from our early MOBI days. Thanks to Peter Hibbert for his advice below. To everyone else, take care and stay safe over the New Year period. RIP Iffers Bob Mummery Hi Bob, This may be a difficult time for you but it is with much regret that I have to inform you of the recent death of Ian (Iffers) Fielding. Iffers was of the 12th Mobi intake of January 1962, and he passed away in the morning of the 19th of December 2025 at his home in Morayfield, north of Brisbane. His funeral was conducted on the 24th December at Deception Bay, Queensland. Ian had been suffering from Parkinsons disease for some years, and he leaves Lynne his wife, and close family behind. He will be missed by them and we who knew him over the years. Thank you Bob, for your willingness to keep the Mobi world informed of such incidents. Peter Hibbert. (12th Mobi Intake). RIP Ian

Ian (Iffers) Fielding was just one term ahead of Chippy Ned and I ( they're getting closer, ) and so yes, I remember him well... Always sad to lose another MOBI, regardless of whether he flipped your bunk over or blanket tossed you around midnight, Ian's passing will be sadly felt by those who loved him... So rest on your oars, 'Iffers', your journey's done... VALE, Ian, may you R.I.P.

Didn't know Iffers, but it's always sad to lose a 'brother'. Vale Iffers.

If my memory serves me correctly, Ian was in Bligh Division and not a bad halfback, he was a little fella.
