And in regard to Saturday, Mick, I've booked the City Extra, Circular Quay, for 0930 for 20 to 25 people and at my request, they're setting up one of the two outside areas just for us... ....................................................................................................................... (If the weather turns out to be inclement, they'll set up for us inside or upstairs...)

Mick H ......... I normally get there around 1400. By then Shep and CJ are almost under the billiard table (I s'pose that's gone now) and perhaps Pussa and one or two others will start wandering in then as well. I come along just in time to lift the MOBI profile.

Well, I'll front around 1400 as well and the tone of the place will certainly sink then.
Now I know when the dock will be flooded, I can now book the flight south. I think SWMBO has plans for the Saturday, but I'm still working on an am session (perhaps, maybe).

Mick, just a reminder, the Saturday IS the 2017 Annual RAN Skilled Hands Sydney Rocks Christmas Pub Crawl Smokey... ...the Friday is just for warm up trials for all the piss-heads (various) who are camping at Woolloomooloo...!

You could always bring your bride along on Saturday, Mick. Several other ladies will be there, and there's plenty of markets/stalls/shops along the Rocks Run Route.

I think she has other plans for us to spend time with the son, daughter-in-law and grandson.
How long does the run last? Perhaps I could suggest they accompany her and I meet up with them enroute.
One can only try. I'll definitely be at the warming flashes though on Friday arvo / evening. Not late though as I'm a non-handler.

Mick ........ the only "handler" there on the Friday is me, so you'll fit in quite well. The Saturday run goes all friggin' day mate. Starts with breakky, and then we wander quite pointedly into every pub in the Rocks area, having lunch in one of 'em and ending up in the Orient about late afternoon and then most go back to Woolloomooloo for a few cleansing ales in the Frisco or Bells. Once again we normally get kicked out at closing time. Pussa is there to provide the Police protection force, I'm there to offer sage advice about everything in life, and the others come along and jabber incoherently about things they know @#$% all about!!! The funny thing is none of 'em seem to remember the shouts they all owe me from last run...... yes, yes Pony ...(except you) I'll repay that shout in the Lowenbrau.

I am normally only there for the Saturday Mick and shoot through around 1700-1800 at the end, so that I can get back to SWMBO in a sensible condition.
Look forward to catching up.

I agree with Pony, Mick, we arrive at The Orient, the final pub on the crawl, well before 1700 and those with other commitments usually peel off by around 1800, the stayers eventually head back to Woolloomooloo sometime after that... Saturday is the main event, with participants such as Ned and Ellen, Gordon and Sandy, Brian and Verna, Charlie Staples, Pony, and others, even myself, forgoing the pleasures of the Friday session this year... The stroll between pubs ensures that nobody is really pissed by the time we arrive at The Orient, and the ladies present throughout the run are testimony to the fact that decorum prevails so your wife would feel very much at home...
