.....On 27th of October, 2022 a small group of our 'Band of Brothers' (and Sisters) gathered in Bowral, NSW at 'Chelsea Park' and 'Arcadia' boutique accommodation and the impressive 'art deco' home
.....of 13th MOBI Intake's Alex and Div Williams, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary Reunion of the 13th MOBI Intake of Naval Artificer Apprentices of July '62... (The fact that Thursday 27th October,
.....2022 also happened to be my 76th birthday was merely a delightful coincidence, and was arguably the first time I'd celebrated my birthday in the company of fellow 13th Intake MOBIs since I had
.....graduated from RANATE...!)

..... =; As principal organisers of the three days of 'official' events, Alex and Div, Ned and Ellen did a brilliant job of providing us all with a truly memorable 60th Anniversary Reunion,

As you can see from the group photo the theme of the farewell get together was "back to the sixties" :love1:
There was a mish mash of really old looking hippies, :dope: :dope: :flower: Bill Lowis and Polly Adcock were in MOBI overalls, Pete Williamson was a Hare Christner and George Vorisek was Elvis. We had a great few days and solved shitloads of world problems. :drinkers: :drinkers: :drinkers: :wine: :wine: :wine:

However, with the benefit of hindsight, after seeing all those clever collection of 'Hippies', 'Hare Krishnas', 'Elvis Presley', 'Willie Nelson', 'Mods', 'Beatles Fans', even a pair of 'MOBIs in Overies' you
could be forgiven for thinking that 'Tricky didn't get the memo'... :evil3: [-X Au contraire... The memo suggested "Back to the Sixties - The Way We Were..." I merely applied a bit of lateral thinking... :-k
Employing a little creative licence, arguably the most memorable thing that happened to me in the 60's was graduating as a Naval Shipwright, :yess: something that wasn't always automatically assured... [-(

Great photos by Ellen, well put together Rick, you do not know how much it hurts for Marg and I not to have been there but we were stuck in Adelaide after our caravan s--t itself.
