Sad news from Steamy Watt, a class mate and friend of Mick Carter.

I remember Mick from our early NIRIMBA days and later, as we were both local here in the Rockingham area, I occasionally ran into Mick at the local shopping centre. A little chat now and again but I had not seen him for a while and now he has departed for that ultimate MOBILAND.

RIP Mick

Morning Bob,

It is with a sad heart that I am letting you know that Mick Carter passed away last Thursday.

I was contacted by his son Craig who spoke to my wife (who neglected to save his phone number). He informed us that Mick passed away peacefully in hospital and that the funeral will be next Tuesday 20th at Saint Vincents Church, Parmelia at 12.00hrs.

His wife Shirley (0439950453 or 0407497084) would be able to help you.

Sadly
Peter (Steamy) Watt

Michael's Vietnam Service as an ERA1 consisted of:

1 x Escort Trip to Vung Tau in HMAS Parramatta in 1965

1 x Escort Trip to Vung Tau in HMAS Derwent in 1969

I never had the pleasure of serving with Michael, but sad to lose another MOBI from those early days.

RIP Michael, your watch is done

:salute1:

Did not know this man, but it's always sad to lose a fellow mobi.
Vale Mick.
